7/9/11 by Lisa So clearly, we're not blogging as much anymore. Sorry! Emily has gotten into a little routine, and thankfully, we haven't had any major incidents to write about. She sleeps a lot more. She's still scared of storms and the dark (sometimes). Her hearing is all but gone, but that has been a blessing in a way since she can't hear as many things to scare her. No more doorbell freak outs. She still sleeps all day and is too awake at night, but that's hard to get her out of. Just less sleep for us - we'll manage.
She seems to be stable on her medicine, and we still have 2-3 months until she needs her levels checked again. Her last levels were "perfect" according to her vet, "Aunt Joanne". As we say, she's a super-duper-trooper and we're very glad of that!
1/5/11 by Lisa Every New Year's, I'm so grateful for Emily and this year was no exception. Of course we both kissed Emily at midnight (she was drowsy and probably thinking, "Whatever, people, I'm trying to sleep.") She was her usual trooper self in Huntsville and took the change to her schedule really well. Little does she know that she's coming up on another appointment for her 2-hour blood test again soon. We need to see how she's doing with the change in medication. She's been drinking a little more, but that could be the dryness inside during the winter (we hope). As usual, I'm all keyed up about it, but it is much easier on everyone now that we can take her home between blood draws. I'll let you know what we find out.
In the meantime, you can see some pictures from 2010 at kodakgallery.com. Each year, I do a book for Kenny, and you can see that by going to this link.
